Some important things should be noted, since i’m going to be an under-the-radar guy this weekend.
The first is that Prometheus has met his demise, which has caused me to be a little down, but definitely not out. If I’m seen throughout the cosmos, it’s mostly because of this piece-o-crap computer (known as Charybdis, because it’s always a terror, always reboots, and in general makes me want to kill people, places and things).
As usual, things come in threes:
1. This is MLK Weekend here, so you know it might as well be Christmas all over again. Per The Brotherlove, we will have In The Life Atlanta and Kevin Powell on lock. But of course, the best thing is that Christopher David will be here this weekend, and he’ll be lighting up the joint, I’m sure…because everyone should hang at the DIC at some point in time;
2. I’ve mentioned it before, and I’ll mention it again, The Blog Body Shop locked me up and made me look good, and I’m very very happy. I’ll still be doing some wonderful web to make things accentuate the new design and take out the clutter, but it’s a wonderful, wonderful chore. One of the things I will be working on for sure is documenting my websurfing, because there are many things that are here that I need to comment on, and I just don’t think there’s enough hours in the day. Just when I thought that the two things I’ve just mentioned were enough, there came yet another assignment….
3. The new laptop (Prometheus’ brother) is in!!!! The rest of my time this weekend will be spent reconfiguring it until the cows come home. I’m a very, very happy camper. In asking for a name, I relied on a tried and true confidant to give her perspective on what the computer should be named, and she in her infinite wisdom has granted us the name Osiris, saying in fact that:
The great benefactor of mankind, Osiris brought to the people knowledge of agriculture and civilization. That’s a good thing.
I couldn’t agree with her more.
