a new week begins

And I wish on all the rainbows that I’ve seen
I wish on all the people who really dream
And I’m wishing on tomorrow praying it will come
And I’m wishing on all the loving we’ve ever done

Wishing On A Star, Rose Royce, ‘Rose Royce II: In Full Bloom’
This weekend hasn’t been the absolute greatest, and yet I keep moving. I didn’t get to hang with friends (none of my friends actually called this weekend, save for Biyull, who I haven’t heard from in 8 months – that was actually cool). Two of my closest friends promised to return calls, and that didn’t happen. The same friends promised to come by, only to become no-shows.
Two of my friends who live just down the street invited me over for cocktails Saturday night, but I didn’t hear from them, and phone calls and emails weren’t answered. I didn’t really go to many places, and was pretty melancholy all weekend.
On the plus side, I did get to watch Foxy Brown and The Wire. I also got to sleep a lot.
I still have no moolah, but I’ve got plenty of suggestions. I plan on acting upon those bloglets of advice (big ups to all who commented – I owe y’all one).
Let’s hope the weekdays pick up. It’s gotta get better.
Back to it, y’all…

if i lived in ATL we’d be having Cosmo Night and Apple Martini night every week. Hm. We could have Screaming Orgasm night (that really is a drink, not a come on) and Kahlua and Cream night.
Plus I’d make you some tofu stir fry :o)
