01 - Evelyn Champagne King - Love Come Down
02 - Shalamar - Make That Move
03 - Loose Ends - Slow Down
04 - Cool Notes - Spend The Night
05 - Cheryl Lynn - Instant Love
06 - George Benson - Shiver
07 - The Brothers Johnson - Streetwave
08 - Cherrelle - Saturday Love
09 - Taka Boom - Love Bank
10 - Damian Dame - Right Down To It
11 - Sade - Keep Looking
12 - The Jacksons - Even Though You're Gone
13 - Al Johnson - Tonight's The Night For Love

I don't think I can say enough good things about this list. Starting out with Evelyn and continuing with Shalamar (where the vocals are equally distributed between Howard, Jody, and Jeffrey), I make a venture across the pond to drop a little Loose Ends and Cool Notes, which was a nice surprise (check out the video here). Cheryl's Instant Love and George's Shiver lead the way to an instrumental by The Brothers Johnson named Streetwave.

Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal's Saturday Love pave the way into Taka Boom's Love Bank and Damian Dame's Right Down To It. Sade's Keep Looking from Stronger Than Pride move us right into Even Though You're Gone by The Jacksons and Tonight's The Night For Love by Al Johnson.

In the podcast, I give a little more detail about Cool Notes, Taka Boom (the zero degrees of seperation will surprise you), and more information behind the tracks from Cheryl Lynn and George Benson. If you're so inclined, take a listen. Special thanks to TGrundy for a lil' help in this one. For those who'd like to subscribe to these podcasts, enter this link manually into iTunes. Hey! don't forget Luther Vandross/Marcus Miller

Haha, EJ, yeah... those two have a solid legacy but I am probably not familiar with the song you are referring to. Is it the Cheryl Lynn track?

Cheers

Of course, I probably will be scolded by purists for not including Q on that list, either. This was, of course, an oversight on my part.

I suppose I can sum up this week's OSW by simply calling it outstanding! Enough said. Let's enjoy the music, as this is what it's all about.

Cheers
