OSW - The Remix: Warmth, Volume II
There's been lots of things going on during the past week, so let me get you up to speed instead of just dropping the OSWs. First, I hung out in Chicago for my birthday, which was absolutely wonderful. I met some good people and ate and drank enough for quite a few vacations. Now that the wonderul days have passed, I've had to make up for this time and basically work more than 50 hours week for the next 6 months. Things are going to get a little tough, that's for sure, but it's going to be worth it. As a matter of fact, I'm just finally putting the podcast and Theresa's spin on the tunes on the Yay Area Mix, so check it out.
Another thing that's been going on is that this has finally been the week that I've grown absolutely tired of some of the quirky things going on on my site. Some comments won't make it, and I've been having to approve valid comments. For this reason, I'm going to do a revamp of the website. I want to try to make some of the changes relatively soon, but some of the OSWs may not be able to be done quickly, like one for this week.
What I've done is decided to pull some of the mixes back before podcasts were being done on this site, and from time to time mix them to make up for not being able to come up with OSWs in time. This will help with keeping the continuity going. There will be a new one next week, so don't worry - I've got it covered for the next two OSWs. If there are any other OSW that you're waiting on podcasts for, let me know, and I'll make sure to put those in the top of the list. This week's podcast comes from December 14th, 2005. I've renamed it:
Old School Wednesday: Warmth, Volume II.

Enjoy, and again, if there's anything else you're looking for, let me know. Take it light, and thanks for your patience.

Holy smokes! Find some time to rest, relax, and release.
It's all good Man. Good stuff comes to those who wait and you have been hitting us with some good tunes! It's good to see Raydio Sister Sledge, Boz and Steely on the mix. Keep it coming.
I'm seeing visions of Lindsay Wagner and Lynda Carter from those 70's cuts!
Oh, for one of your future mixes..If you ever have time or even think it's a good mix to do, could you do a "heartbeat props" mix of Leon Sylvers produced cuts?
P.S. I do remeber a House Joint that sampled Chicago. I forget the year...early to mid 90's I think.
Keep it going Maestro!
Mann you put on two of my favorate late night cutz for crusing. "Voyage to Atlantis" and "Star of the Story" just puts me in another place.
If you can make this mix into a podcast, it will be all over. I'm back to pop-locking in the H S. lunchroom.

Oh yes EJ..I know the house cut you are referring to...it's The Bomb by The Bucketheads. I had the video as one of my Friday Flashback Jams on my blog a few weeks ago. I consider myself a Chicago fan and never heard that song before, I'm loving it and I must get a copy of it!
I appreciate your love for Steely Dan too, I think I'm the world's biggest SD fan...my admiration for Walter and Donald is serious.
This was a fantastic OSW as they all are. Thank you for the music.
EJ, love the old skool. Please check your e-mail. I need your help on a song I'm trying to find and also I'd like to know if you have Parris' song "Can't Let Go?" Thanks!
Well, well, well...A new interface!
Chica - you know how we do. ;-)
NitaB - I have everything and me and a couple of my friends are trying to track down that song as we speak. Thanks for looking out.
Okay - Star of the Story is my SHYT!!! And I'm really mad that you dug Portrait out from behind and up under... (so funny because I just downloaded most of their CD onto my iPod and have been jamming to "Precious Moments,") and I ADORE "Heaven in Your Arms," that's on my iPod's old school playlist, and I just sing and get happy when I hear it. =))) I'm happy to see Michael Cooper on here, I remember being in LOVE LOVE LOVE with his song "Over and Over," and being SHOCKED when I was able to find it on Cassingle. YES, I said CASSingle. LOL Lawd, do you realize there are some "kids" on here who have no idea what a "cassingle" is? LMAO
