There is a lot of good stuff here, as you can tell. Thanks to Mike Gee and Garfield, I was able to start this mix off with a cut I wasn’t familiar with, Come Let Me Love You from Jeanette Lady Day. That got me the push I needed to get this mix out that had been in progress with for a good while. The list actually has a couple of interesting vibes ths go-round. First, there are tracks there that are a tribute to late, but great, performers that passes on, as Vesta, Brainstorm (for Belita Woods), Babyface (for Deah Dame of Damian Dame) and Jones Girls (for Valorie Jones) are on here. Jam And Lewis are also prevalent here as there are three tracks they wrote from SOS Band, Cherrelle (which they also produced), Dynasty, and Sounds Of Blackness (which they produced as well). Two tracks from Britain are also represented by Sade and Workshy, which is a very little known group that you will hearing in quite a few podcasts in the near future, so stay tuned. I was even able to pull up some good cuts from Hugh Masekela, Con Funk Shun, Fatback Band, and of course Angela Bofill. Hope you enjoy.
