Based on the energy I was receiving from requests, I decided to kick it off with dance and disco tunes by The Jacksons, GQ, Sharon Brown, and Unlimited Touch. I was then able to slow it doen just a little and throw in the request for Indeep. Prince’s Anotherloverholenyohead was a nice segue to Wendy & Lisa’s Are You My Baby, which I had been feeling for quite some time.
Herbie’s Gettin’ To The Good Part (written with Rod Temperton) leads the way into Vertical Hold, Earth Wind and Fire’s track from System of Survival, and the huge 1985 UK hit from Phylis Nelson, Move Closer. Special, special thanks to G-Force (keeper of the flow), my man Big Daddy and Ricky McCarthy (the man with the Podomatic goodness) as only they can. Feedback like this keeps it flowin’ every week.
