02 – Cherrelle – I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On
03 – Shannon – Let The Music Play
04 – Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam – I Wonder If I Take You Home
05 – Status IV – You Ain’t Really Down
06 – Toney Lee – Reach Up
07 – Rhonda Clark – State of Attraction
08 – Joyce Sims – Come Into My Life
09 – Club Nouveau – Heavy on My Mind
10 – Heatwave – Mind What You Find
11 – Dazz Band – Heartbeat
12 – Mica Paris – Breathe Life Into Me

Shoutouts go to G-Fresh for suggesting Toney Lee’s Reach Up, which inspired me to pull out Status IV, of which Toney Lee was also a vocalist. Also, the one, the only, Butta was playing Shannon last week which caused me to put in Let The Music Play, I Didn’t Mean To Turn You On, and I Wonder If I Take You Home. Special nods also to Coffeenated for inspiring Orbit and Shannon. Since my throat is still on the mend, you won’t hear my voice this podcast. Hope to be able to pick this up next week. Got requests? The one thing I remember about that Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam song was the video. It was my first time seeing Full Force. Those big burly dudes wearing lace and jheri curls. But that song was jammin’!

once again you find music that make me reminisce and think about how fun it was growing up at a time when me and my mom did not have much but I had cool friends, MTV, VH1, and BET was cool to watch.
Growing up in a small town music many times was my escape. Thanx for taking me back to 80s.
*where the heck is Mica Paris? Man a had a HUGE crush on that chocolate sista. ^_^
