I’m pretty sure you’re well aware of these tunes, but pay special attention to RAMP– the tune will sound very familiar. (More info about them here.) My particular fave one is Stylus’ Hangin’ which I first heard as a sample on a Little Brother track. Special thanks to Roney, DarrenKeith, DYKC, and Todd Kelley for their blessing of Love Rollercoaster. As usual, there’s a little more in the podcast, so if you’re so inclined, take a listen. Good stuff here –
Thinking back to a few past OSW it just amazes me how many great producers were out there.
To my generation, The Flyte Tyme team were seen as the superstars because they had the most “pop” hits but there is no knocking cats like Leon Sylvers and Mtume/Reggie Lucas for Stephanie Mill’s “Put Your Body In It.”
Steph’s “Put Your Body In It” and The Jones Girls “YGMMLSE” are classics. I had to have been in 1st grade when these cuts dropped. Timeless.
There is too much great producers, artist etc. to be constantly over looked.
    Great postings as usual E!
