B12: snoozin’ season

The Oblongs
Baker’s Dozen. Snoozin’ Season. From KB’s
Bakers
Dozen
.

1. Trying to think of 12 useful things I’ve done this weekend is almost like
taking a long exam. In the dark. Without a pencil.
2. However, the bed is my fortress of solitude as sleeping eight to ten hours
a day becomes commonplace now.
3. Conversations with Prime, trying to get
over a cold all weekend, have their moments of dramedy:

ej: what we gonna eat for dinner?
Prime: oh, probably chicken.
ej: you gonna pick it up?
Prime: but I am still dying.
ej: then i will drive your car!!
Prime: I think I have enough life left in me…

4. Got halfway through Getting
Things Done
. I have a schedule now. Let’s hope it pans out.
5. First task: only hit snooze button twice each day.
6. I guess John Legend
knows about bootleg
copies
of his CD on the street right now.
7. Picked up Human League CDs for the next Old School Wednesday. It’s more than
an adventure, it’s a second job!
8. Not to be constrained with the music for Old School Wednesday, received a
couple of CDs to review for Mixtapes,
Etc
. this week too.
9. The next time you invite me to your house, make sure you have some Welch’s
Passionfruit juice, okay? Thanks.
10. I want it to be Summertime, just
like Fresh! does
.
11. I don’t know why I’m so enamored with Third
Watch
now. It’s the show that keeps me in the house on Friday nights, instead
of hangin’ out with the fellas.
12. And now, for the bizzare show that has me laughing every weekend on Adult
Swim: The
Oblongs
. Does this mean I’m demented or just in the house too long?

Prime told me bout you going out without your NeverLost. Guess he wanted his truck back someday soon!
John Legend…is anyone else’s Gaydar going off?
    Whoop! Whoop! Whoop!
I remember the Oblongs! I was intrigued as well but I think they were up against one of my other shows and lost out. Sorry, you lovable bunch of horrifically mutated folks!

I think you’re just demented(#12) but you already knew that. I hope Prime is feeling better.
    Thanks for playing!

Well… at least now I know that both our Friday evenings are spent indoors watching Third Watch. I’ve been addicted to that show forever. I am mad they changed the night to Friday. Not like I did much after work, but still.

    hey EJ:
ooh, The Oblongs are the shit! :) i missed that show..i hated missing it (which was all the time) when it was on, because i think it was on during the same time that i think 24 was on im not sure…cartoon network is fabulous, isnt it? :) I’ll SEVERELY flip out if they somehow got the seasons of the nickelodeon classics SPARTACUS and MYSTERIOUS CITIES OF GOLD!!! (these shows RULED back when Nick was good..:))
Third Watch: you JUST NOW figured out the show was hot? puhleese…buy the dvd for the past seasons and thank me later, mkay? :)
I think its’ Nia Long as Sasha Monroe…it maybe the quality writing and character development..OR–it might just be the fact that Coby Bell is like totally hot and you REALLY want to see if his size 16 shoe is symbolic for a BIGGER member he’s hiding in his patrolman’s pants..LOL!
but i hear you…Third Watch and Degrassi: The Next Generation (on The Noggin–those of you who were fans of Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High School know all about this…joey jeremiah, spike, caitlin and snake as adults–WOW! :)) are two of the main reasons why my ass stays in on fridays. :)

Heh, the Oblongs’ family life hits too close to home. I’ve really gotten into the Venture Brothers though. It’s a sarcastic look at the Adventure/Hero shows of the 70s and 80s, and is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. It shows on Adult Swim on Saturdays and Sundays.

    Getting Things Done, Continued…

It’s been about a week and a half since I started implementing David Allen’s’ Getting Things Done’ (GTD) productivity system so I thought I’d post an update about how it’s going. In short, this is some good ish! What David…
