When you last checked in, I had just rolled into the Friday
night of Chicago, where I was hit on. Onto Saturday, where I get to confess
my sins and place myself under punishment.
Now that I’ve appropriately partied during a Chicago weekend on Friday, I feel
I can go anywhere on Saturday. After all,
I am kinda old Prop House was
so much fun, I don’t need to do anything for the rest of the trip.
Except, of course, take pictures.
I started out with testing the camera out after we woke up (around 12pm for
you EastCoasters). I started taking pics, from my sneakers to the smoker. We
couldn’t figure out where to eat or what to eat, so instead we spent lots of
time on the computers just to make sure things were going well. He IMed Yahoo!
personnel while I simply watched and laughed. Finally, we settled on Giordanos,
for the second day in a row. I had never been able to eat half a Giordano’s
pizza in my life in one sitting. Until then. We sat and did positively nothing
for the entire day for three reasons: 1) we were lazy, 2) it was raining
(for goodness sake, could you imagine even thinking about going
anywhere in that kinda weather?), and 3) we were set to have green apple martinis
and hang out at Banks‘ house.
At seven, we make the trek up to visit Banks and company, and
we’re greeted by the host, who was feelng himself (and the cocktails too). Visiting
was my friend UncleEm from L.A. who I hadn’t seen in more than
7 years ago, and Reg, who I haven’t seen in more than 5. I was
alerted on my cellular that both GDVVoxx and RB,
two more of my friends, were coming to visit. With both engrossed in conversation
and Cape Cods, it was great to see them both.
With so much conversation, good times, and drinks flowing, EricJ and I hung
around until around 2AM. We all made plans for attending a brunch around 11am
on Sunday, since it was my last day and it was easier to hang around everyone
in one space than running around the city.
To be continued…
